Guru Nanak Khalsa College for Women, Gujarkhan Campus, Gujarkhan Road, Model Town, Ludhiana has emerged as a premiere multi-facility women institute in the region. GNW fraternity is committed to qualitative improvement everyday at the institute. The students who join the institute are chiselled well by our dedicated and talented faculty to meet the challenges of their professional careers. Quality assurance and enhancement are our watchwords. The contents of all our programmes of study are reviewed to ensure their excellence. Generally, our students have found studying at GNW to be both rewarding and enjoyable.

The degree of acceptance gained by GNW is reflected in the increase of admissions and approval of new departments by Punjab University (PU), Chandigarh every year. With all these achievements, our institution has become one of the leading institutions of Punjab.

Our major focus has been that our students graduate not only with the blend of general and specific skills that they will need for their chosen path but also possessing rich and healthy minds to strike success in a fast changing atmosphere. I can say with legitimate confidence that we have literally struggled hard to provide and maintain the right intellectual environment, motivation and updated information to our students to fit into today’s world. The aim of our institution is not simply to turn students into knowledge machines but to make them socially conscious human beings with an understanding of the work of human values. All the same, the aim of our institution is to make good citizens and good citizens make great nations. And to help students to become the good citizens has been the task under way at Guru Nanak Khalsa College for Women. Amen

Aaliyah has been translating literature over the course of her life to the local language and the book opens with Aaliyah completing the translation of  Austerlitz  by W. G. Sebald, and the dilemma that follows: of choosing which book to translate next. I am Humbert and Lolita.  I am you. If you read these pages and think I’m the way I am because I lived through a civil war, you can’t feel my pain. If you believe you’re not like me because one woman, and only one, Hannah, chose to be my friend, then you
